What I'm looking for:

I left the corporate publishing world in January 2021 to set up as a freelance editor and project manager. I want to create books that make a difference and improve lives; books that make the world a better, more loving place. I have a particular interest in publishing wellbeing and self development books and am looking for promising projects to accompany.

I have a particular interest in developing books for children to develop emotional literacy and resilience in early life. I think these are badly needed in our society at the moment as there are more and more problems with mental health in children and teenagers.

I’m looking for like-minded people with important messages to share, to bring my expertise as an editor into making the best book possible and your experience of creating it a positive one.

What I can offer:

I can provide support with structuring, editing and proofreading your work.
My training and in-depth knowledge of publishing will help define your readers and create a publishing and marketing plan.
I can provide an individual service, adapted to your needs and expectations.
I will help you find and develop your written voice and accompany you to publication. I can give your ‘book baby’ a smooth passage into the world and the best chance of growing to its full potential, reaching as wide a market as possible. I will ensure your message is clear and beautiful, while remaining authentic to you, and set it out on the right path to make a difference in the world.

Personal Bio:

I’m an experienced editor with a passion for creating books for self development and wellbeing.  After teaching for over 10 years in schools in France, I returned to the UK in 2013 and did an MA in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University. Since starting my publishing career, I have worked for a number of publishers in the UK and France, specialising in educational, lifestyle and children’s publishing.

In my previous job at Macmillan, I became a wellbeing champion and am a trained mental health first aider. I am passionate about improving mental health and believe it is essential for the future of the planet.

Personal development is central to my life. I have taken part in a number of retreats and training programmes including yoga, sound healing and Reiki, which I practise regularly. I have just completed my training with the London School to become a Biodanza facilitator.  I will be setting up a group in Swansea as soon as the current restrictions allow.
