What I'm looking for:

Daughters of alcoholics that realise they want and need support, to find out who they are and ultimately find freedom and peace.
I’m also looking to offer talks to audiences that are looking for real life experiences around alcohol misuse, together with current research, insights and an objective viewpoint, together with a practitioner perspective.
Any management/HR looking for training in alcohol misuse to provide better support to employees, reduce absenteeism and presenteeism.

What I can offer:

I’m quite good with IT, I use to work in IT and I’m an MS Office expert, I use Emotional Freedom Technique as a practitioner as well as Neuro Linguistic Programming. I have built up a lot of knowledge around building a business too.

Helping people just by listening and offering suggestions, or questionning people to get to their own answers is something I can do and enjoy.

I’m also keen to help others to connect with people that will help them. Building relationships is so important, self employment is tough, so if I can support someone then great.

Happy to offer free 30 minutes calls to anyone struggling with someone’s alcohol misuse.

Personal Bio:

Hi I'm Jo, a personal change expert, speaker and adult child of an alcoholic. My mission is to change perceptions about alcohol misuse and how it impacts on the family and society as a whole. I do this through talks and workshops to professionals and working one to one with clients.

With over 20 years of self-development experience, as well as first-hand experience living with my father's alcoholism, I offer a unique perspective. My objective view, insights and lived experience enables me to translate a complex issue to others in a clear and understandable way.

It's important to Jo that families feel supported, adults that have grown up with a parent that drinks too much often suffer in silence, or without realising their current issues relate to the past. Jo's passionate about changing that, ensuring that those affected find happiness and peace, without compromise of their identity and needs.
