An expert on procrastination and perfectionism, Juliet regularly speaks in educational and corporate settings, and at national and international events, online and in person. Drawing on current research, case studies, and both personal and professional experience, she shares practical strategies and motivational tips to boost productivity, motivation and wellbeing.
An Oxford graduate, Juliet taught social sciences and study skills at the Open University for more than 14 years, gaining valuable experience in online training. Fascinated by the role of motivation in teaching and learning, she trained as a certified professional co-active coach at CTI and launched her consultancy JLP Coach in 2008. Since then, Juliet has developed a portfolio of services, including coaching, mentoring, organising and training.
Her main focus has been coaching students, entrepreneurs and professional to develop time management and organising skills. In addition, she’s delivered a Guardian masterclass called ‘Declutter Your Life’ and spoken in venues as diverse as Google Campus, Champney’s spa, the Ideal Home Show, Grand Designs and the Office Show as well as training events, business networking groups, schools and universities,. She’s presented virtual workshops for clients such as the Business Graduates Association, the Federation of Small Businesses, Limmud and Instinctif comms agency.
Juliet has written two books: What’s Your Excuse for not Being More Productive? (2017) and What’s Your Excuse for not Clearing Your Clutter? (2018). She regularly contributes guest blogs and is interviewed on podcasts, TV and radio. For example, she shared insights into to-lists for the BBC Radio 4 documentary Jenny Eclair is Listless Today. Juliet has also taken part in several ‘radio days’,
