I’m a former BBC journalist, writer/performer of funny topical songs on radio and TV and writer of comedy and drama, who now gives the ‘gift of the gab’ to ethical leaders, companies and causes.
I’m on the lookout for speaking and hosting/MC-ing opportunities anywhere in the world, online and eventually in person.
I also want to meet ethical speakers, movers and shakers who need help with the ‘gift of the gab’ – communicating effectively on video.
This includes all the types of communication that have migrated online because of the pandemic – speeches, presentations, meetings, webinars, seminars, media interviews and press conferences.
I am a very funny and accomplished public speaker on both light and serious topics, and an expert and effective host/MC of meetings, conferences and panels.
I remotely coach, write and direct videos of all kinds for any purpose and for any audience.
I write, coach and train in all aspects of communication, leadership and team dynamics.

I was educated by Jesuit priests at the same school as Alfred Hitchcock (St Ignatius’ College in north London) and studied law at Lincoln College, Oxford.
I became a journalist in local and regional papers, the BBC World Service and BBC local radio and regional TV.
I also spent a couple of years teaching English in Germany.
At the Beeb I discovered how stage struck I was, and started writing and performing funny topical songs on radio and TV.
Since then I have done two Edinburgh Festival fringe shows, had a play on TV, scripted a kids’ TV show in Singapore, and had a two-year gig as a comedy songwriter/performer on a late night TV chat show.
At the same time in the ‘straight’ world I’ve been a corporate video writer and director, an advertising copywriter and a management trainer for another ten.
Everything I have done, both serious and light-hearted, informs my current work as a speaker, coach, writer and producer.
