My name is Verna Haywood is, an Empowerment Coach and Mentor, but it has not always been that way. I was molested and sexually abused as a young girl into her teenage and adult years. When I was informed, she would be leaving Grenada to live in Trinidad. I breathed a sigh of relief; Verna was excited and thought, WOW! Finally, a way of escaping being sexually abused had arrived. How wrong was I!
Despite knowing the man I was about to marry was not the man for her, I got married! To save her life, I fled her abusive relationship in Trinidad with just £100 and a suitcase and came to the UK in 1997 determined to be a voice for women in similar situations who have yet to find their strength.
I advocate ending violence against women, and her mission is to help 100 million women worldwide find their strength and take their power back.
I am also a Holistic Therapist who enjoys bringing balance to people’s lives, seeing them well and living their best authentic life.
