Does it make cash or sense?

When was the last time you did a little quick and dirty review of your products?!

One of the greatest things you can do occasionally for your speaker, author, coach business is to make sure that what you are offering is working.

Asking this question will help you sort out what’s working for you and what’s not. If you like the idea of the challenge, answer the next two questions:

  1. Does it make cash?

This is such an obvious question, yet we have all left products ‘in the mix’ that just no longer do what they are meant to do or add value in the way they should or could be. The variation of this is: ‘does this product make enough money for the effort it takes to either put it out in the world or to deliver?’

2. Does it make sense?

Related to the question above, if you’ve not done a little review recently, scan your product range and work out how it fits with your clients’ User Journey. If the product ‘fits’, keep it. If you find yourself thinking it’s a sore thumb or won’t make sense to your clients, or is too big a leap or too similar to something else… well then it’s time to let it go, shelve it or at the very least upgrade it to something that DOES make sense. Knowing what your ideal client avatar is looking for and providing a ‘sense’-ible set of products is a key to this.

Doing a review every 6 months or at least yearly is something that your business and clients deserve. It will make it so much easier for you to keep your sales process neat and simple.

Take up the challenge — think about what you offer and whether it still works for you. Are you going to take on the challenge? It won’t take long, and you might just make a discovery or two!
