If you’re in the Southern hemisphere, we know you are just heading into the equivalent of autumn, but here in the UK, we are happily in the throes of Spring gearing up. Daffodils are popping up everywhere, making the world brighter, and buds of all kinds are popping up . It’s a time of great renewed energy. With that energy comes the desire to ‘spring clean’ — and you can apply that to your speaker, author, coach business.
Every spring, it’s a great idea to go through your activities and contact lists.
We know that stats don’t sound like the most sexy thing in the world, but truly, they are the life blood of your business, and you own energy too. So, with that in mind, take a good look at your stats, download some statements from your systems and evaluate:
- Who needs to go?
- What are you doing that’s no longer useful to do?
- What do you need to adjust or add?
- What else can you measure?
Taking stock and whittling down is a great way to create space for newness to come in. New prospects and clients; new or updated newsletters; lead magnets that are more in line with where you are at now. We all change in the course of a year, and our businesses do too, as much as the world at large does.
Doing a spring clean will help you stay current and will energise your client base, or leave room for more to come in. Grab your diary and set aside an afternoon. You’ll be grateful you did, and that freshly cleaned feeling will be wonderful!
