What are you catching up on?

It’s about to be a longer than usual weekend in the UK, courtesy of the Queen. We hope you are allowing yourself to do what you really want to be doing with that. (Even if you are not in the UK, the whole concept of On Your Terms means that you can make your schedule fit in a 4 day weekend holiday if you’d like!)

The question is, are you going to use the time to catch up on work, or catch up with friends? Catching up on some rest and relaxation, maybe that Netflix documentary you’ve been promising yourself? Or simply catching the sun’s rays on your skin because you’re heading out into the day?

It’s important to stop.

Whatever you are doing, it’s important to note that as a business owner, as a speaker, author and coach, you have control over your day, you get to choose what to ‘catch’. And stopping to catch your breath on the days when everyone else is too busy can be a great way to tap into ‘more’ relaxation whilst doing whatever you are doing.

Catching up on the latest trends, spending some time just getting your ducks in a row and allowing your energy to replenish is a key part of running a business. Putting in time to do whatever ‘catching up’ is most necessary is an incredibly valuable thing to do when you have some down time. You might even want to ensure that once a quarter you create a ‘bank holiday’ for yourself.

If you want any support to do this, reach out for a call or join The Connection Hub to get access to over 200 resources to keep you growing your speaker, author, and coach business.
